THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL
The national carrier serves most destinations in the north and all over Thailand, as well as flights on many international routes to/from Bangkok.From Chiang Mai some international routes such as to/from Luang Prabang (Laos), Kunming (China) are available.
BANGKOK AIRWAYS
The second well established airline. Domestic flights are offered from Bangkok to/from Chiang Mai and Sukothai in the north, Koh Samui and huket in the south, Trat (Koh Chang) and U-tapao (Pattaya) in the east. International flights to/from Phnom Penh, Siem Raep (Angkor Wat) in Cambodia, Luang Prabang in Laos, Yangon in Myanmar, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Hue in Vietnam, Jinghong, Nanjing, Guilin, Hangzhou, Xian, Shenzen in China and Male in the Maldives. From Chiang Mai there are international flights to/from Jinghong and Xian in China.
ORIENT THAI AIRLINES (One Two Go)
Another airline established for some years already. Domestic flights from Bangkok to/from Chiang Mai in the north, Phuket, Hat Yai, Krabi and Surat Thani in the south.. International flights to/from Hongkong, Incheon, Guangzhou and Singapore.
PB AIR
This airline serves some of the smaller cities all over the country. From Bangkok to/from Lampang and Nan in the north, Roi Et, Sakon Nakhon and Nakorn Phanom in the northeast, as well as Trang and Nakorn Si Tammarat in the south. They also do serve two international routes, Danang in Vietnam and Bagan in Myanmar (Burma).
PHUKET AIR
For some years already this airline does offer domestic flights from Bangkok to/from places like Mae Sot in the north, Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Ranong in the south and Udon Thani and Buriram in the northeast. International flights to/from London, Amsterdam, Dubai, Yangon Chittagong and Kathmandu.
NOK AIR
Is Thai Airways? low cost carrier for some domestic routes. Flights are offered from Bangkok to/from Chiang Mai and Phitsanulok in the north, Udon Thani in the northeast, Phuket and Hat Yai in the south.
AIR ASIA
Another one of the new low cost carriers in Thailand and South East Asia. On domestic routes flights from Bangkok to/from Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in the north. Phuket and Hat Yai in the south, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani and Udon Thani in the northeast are offered. Some international flights inside South East Asia, such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia to various cities, but also to/from Macau.
AIR MANDALAY
Airline from neighbouring Myanmar (Burma). Serves many domestic routes in Myanmar,
but also international flights to/from Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand.
From Chiang Mai flights to/from Yangon and Mandalay.
LAO AIRLINES
National carrier of neighbouring Laos. From Vientiane domestic flights to/from most provinces are offered, but also some international flights to/from places like Phnom Penh, Siem Raep in Cambodia, Hanoi in Vietnam, Kunming in China and Bangkok in Thailand. From Chiang Mai flights to/from Luang Prabang and Vientiane.
CHINA AIRLINES
National carrier from Taiwan with some international routes to/from North America, Australia and Europe, but also inside Asia to/from Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Japan and Korea. From Chiang Mai flights to/from Taipei.
SILK AIR
Singapore's second airline. Serving international routes from Singapore inside the Asian region.to/from cities in Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Macau and India. From Chiang Mai flights to/from Singapore.
TIGER AIRWAYS
Another low cost carrier from Singapore which offers flights to/from South East Asian countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Macau. From Chiang Mai flights to/from Singapore
